From the minutes, the relevant tasks should be extracted and posted here as individual tasks for better overview.
When a user logs in, he gets to his user page, which has basically nothing but an overview of his profile and contributions to the public. If the user is new and has no profile or activity, then the page is simply blank.
The dashboard, on the other hand, presents a comprehensive view of the memberships, tasks and discussion topics the user has taken part in. This should be changed to direct the user to its dashboard, which is currently served on /user/%uid/view
This is not happening to my normal user - I am properly redirected to the dashboard, so the issue may only be related to non-admin users (maybe another admin can confirm).
The spaces menu icon, on the top-left, shows a long list of spaces by alphabetical order, most of them not even active.
This happens only for the non-logged or new user, since a logged user will get a list of his groups and recent spaces instead. But for someone new, this is very confusing.
So a better solution or setup needs to be thought for this.
There are a few content types around, which are leftovers from early hacks/experiments to achieve additional functionality on Atrium. These are confusing, bloating and should be deleted: pad, working groups.
Also to consider the removal of biblio, although this may have a different issue, since hundreds of biblio content from the degrowth 2014 conference are on the platform.
The "create space" command button is not group/context aware and therefore is useless to place it on any (network) space to allow users to create spaces.
An example implementation was done on the Netzwerk Solidarische Landwirtschaft, and users who attempted to create subspaces were met with the error:
You must select one or more groups for this content
This is most probably a bug upstream, since the create space command button ships with OA.
