food coop tool

I posted this on the web-crew list, but it seems that this is the place it should be.. so here it is again :

Hello web-crew,

this week I met Patrick Colmant who developed a really impressive tool for his food-coop (hello Patrick in cc). I think at the moment 3 food-coops with slightly different needs are using it.

It's a Django based tool with

• member management
• producer management
• order management and billing
• organisation of a delivery day (with different task for the members)
• i'm forgetting things here ...

I think this tool can be adapted and extended to CSA needs. Within our GASAP network I would like to use my own group to test it for GASAP needs.

Patrick is all alone on the project so far. I hope it might interest the web-crew or some of you, maybe to start a collaboration on it's development to make it a tool for CSAs. Are there python guys/grrls among you ?

You can find an outdated version on github https://github.com/pcolmant/repanier I don't know if it's going to be updated soon ? I guess it depends on people being interested..

Let me know what you think. I'm going to have a second meeting with Patrick in 3 weeks for further talks and tests.
