Unvergessbar Essbar ist ein Mitmach-Projekt, dass schöne, vielfältige und essbare Landschaften schafft, die Biodiversität in und um Witzenhausen herum steigert und dazu beiträgt, dass sich alle die hier wohnen oder zu Besuch sind, fast ganzjährig mit regionalem und gesunden Obst, Beeren und Gemüse versorgen können, unabhängig von der Höhe ihres Einkommens. Unvergessbar Essbar möchte den gemeinschaftlichen Moment hier vor Ort beleben, in dem viele Menschen je nach ihren Möglichkeiten und Interessen zusammen die essbare (Stadt)Landschaft mitgestalten sodass alle davon profitieren.
Ziel der Aktionsbündis "Kulturlandschaft erhalten" ist es, gemeinsam mit Obstbauern, Plantagenbesitzern, Naturschutzverbänden, Studierenden, Universitätsmitarbeitern und politischen Gremien ein nachhaltiges und wirtschaftlich sinnvolles Nutzungskonzept für alte Plantagen und Landschaften zu entwickeln, die einen sanften, ruralen Tourismus begünstigen, für Anwohner sowie Erholungssuchende nicht gesundheitsgefährdend sind, sowie die Biodiversität, Resilienz und die kulturelle Identität der Region stärken.
This is a six days intensive course where we will explore what are the principles of degrowth one can use to assist public policies and the design methodologies for the management of common resources.

Welcome to the second edition of the summer school on degrowth offered by ICTA and Research & Degrowth, this year with environmental justice as a special focus. The summer school will take place between the 6th and 15th of July at the premises of Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and the social centers Can Masdeu (Barcelona) and Can Decreix (Cerbere), France.

By “degrowth“, we understand a form of society and economy which aims at the well-being of all and sustains the natural basis of life. To achieve degrowth, we need a fundamental transformation of our lives and an extensive cultural change.
The English word “degrowth” became prominent after the first international degrowth conference in Paris in 2008. It has since than been established in academic writing as well as in the media and is used by social movements and practitioners. An advantage of using a term which does not roll off the tongue easily in English is that it creates disruption. Disruption in a world where the critique of economic growth is a radical position.
